I just watched the “A Murder in the Park” documentary. I’m looking forward to reading Mr. Crawford’s book. I was interested in what happened in regards to the complaint filed against Jack Rimland the attorney. I looked on the Illinois Bar website, and it states he is currently allowed to practice. Any update on the complaint? I guess the bar has set the bar really low for their members. He should never be allowed to practice again, and he should be in jail.
As part of our effort, successful as it turn out, to free Alstory from wrongful imprisonment, we filed a complaint with the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission, outlining Jack Rimland’s poisonous and felonious acts as a member of the Illinois Bar. The ARDC replied, saying they had investigated the matter and found nothing amiss about Rimland, even though the State’s Attorney, Anita Alvarez, said at her press conference that the case had been so corroded and corrupted by Rimland and the others that justice compelled her to seek Alstory’s release, which she did. The ARDC is there for a single reason: to protect lawyers, not to discipline them, in my opinion. And you can scream that to the highest heaven.
